Taylor Albitar

Rebranding the Battle Against Clinician Burnout 

Taylor Albitar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kentucky. She was born and raised in Orange County, California, and moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 2015 where she and her husband reside with their two dogs and two cats. Taylor completed her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at California State University Fullerton and then went on to obtain her Master of Social Work degree from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. Taylor is currently a Doctor of Social Work Candidate at the University of Kentucky with a focus in Administration and Leadership.  Taylor’s research focus is on the burnout of healthcare providers and long-term effects on individual well-being .

Taylor has worked for the Veterans Health Administration in Lexington, Kentucky since 2018 where she spent a little over four years in the Acute Care setting tending to Surgical, ICU, and ALS patients. In 2022, she transitioned to the Clinical Addiction Treatment Service team where she provides outpatient therapy for Veterans struggling with addiction. Taylor co-owns a private practice called Bookmark Counseling & Consultation where she continues to serve her community and provide supervision for social workers seeking licensure in the state of Kentucky. Her clinical expertise is in trauma, gender and sexuality, and addiction. She is a member of the EMDR International Association and the National Association of Social Workers. Taylor feels strongly about continued education and growth and looks forward to continuing to challenge the status quo that has found itself in the social
