Kinship Live Virtual Webinar Training – Financial Series: Finding Resources To Support Kinship Families

September 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

Finding resources to support kinship families

As Kinship caregivers, the most primary concern we have is being able to care for our families. Money becomes central to that concern. In this webinar, we will explore the resources available to kinship families including recent changes to kinship financial supports including Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP), Relative and Fictive Kin Placement Support Benefit (RFKPSB), and the new Subsidized Permanent Custody (SPC) option for those providing kinship foster care.

About the Trainer:

Maurice Lee II is the Service Array Specialist within the Out of Home Care Branch of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. He has been employed with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services for 10 years, and have been working with Kinship families for 4 years. Maurice graduated from Western Carolina University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Clinical Forensics. Maurice enjoys working with Relative and Fictive Kin caregivers throughout the state, educating families on resources available to them and providing guidance as needed.

Please note: Although this LIVE webinar is designed to be an informative, educational, and helpful resource for kinship families caring for relative or fictive kin children, anyone is welcome to attend including foster parents, professionals, students, or community members.

It is our hope that by participating in this LIVE webinar, attendees will receive educational and helpful information. However, it is important to note that this webinar is not approved for foster parent training credit or CEU’s as attendance is not monitored during the webinar event.
