SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn: Advancing Youth Sport Quality and Access Through LiFEsports
DESCRIPTION:The Sport Social Work Research Lab is hosting a Lunch & Learn: Advancing Youth Sport Quality and Access Through LiFEsports. The Lunch & Learn will be led by Dr. Dawn Anderson-Butcher and will explore how LiFEsports is advancing the quality and accessibility of youth sports through research-driven strategies and community partnerships. \nAbout Dr. Anderson Butcher: Dawn Anderson-Butcher is a professor in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University and holds a courtesy appointment in Physical Activity and Educational Services in Ohio State’s College of Education and Human Ecology. She has a B.A. in psychology\, a B.S. in exercise and sport sciences\, and a M.S. in health and sport studies\, all from Miami University. She also has an M.S.W. and a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. Her primary research interests focus on positive youth development in various social settings\, such as schools\, afterschool programs\, and youth sport. Her research in these areas has been widely published.
