SUMMARY:Intimate Partner Violence and Elder Abuse: Help and Healing through a Social Determinants of Health Lens
DESCRIPTION:This 90-minute session examines intimate partner violence (IPV) and elder abuse as interconnected public health issues shaped by social determinants of health (SDoH)\, structural inequities\, and intersecting identities. Participants will explore how certain factors create barriers to help-seeking behaviors among survivors.  \nDrawing from current research on IPV as a social determinant of health\, this session highlights the limitations of mainstream interventions and the critical need for culturally sensitive\, community-centered approaches.
