DESCRIPTION:Bullying provides parents an overview of bullying behaviors that children\, teens\, and young adults may encounter and the effects it has on children\, youth and society as a whole. This training also provides strategies to help prevent and intervene if bullying is suspected\, or what to do if you suspect your child is exhibiting bullying behavior. \nAfter completing this training\, participants will be able to: \n\nDefine bullying and list reasons why a child may bully.\nIdentify the different types of bullying and how to recognize if a child in their care is being bullied.\nImplement strategies with children in their care to intervene in bullying situations.\n\nASK-VIP training are expressly designed to meet the needs of foster and adoptive parents. Skilled trainers who have lived experiences with fostering and adoption provide these trainings in a virtual group setting. There is 1.5 hours of ongoing\, elective foster parent training credit available for Kentucky’s foster parents. \nCreate an account or log-in to register for this training. A two-time graduate of the University of Kentucky\, Judge Murphy has served Fayette County as District Court Judge since 2020\, where she co-founded the first Juvenile Treatment Court to provide holistic support for court-involved youth. Her decades-long career includes service as a prosecutor\, senior attorney for Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government\, and membership on numerous boards and commissions advancing racial justice\, juvenile advocacy\, and mental health reform. \nJudge Murphy’s impact extends far beyond the courtroom. A dedicated civic leader\, she serves with organizations such as the Kentucky Judicial Commission on Mental Health\, the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence\, and the Central Kentucky Chapter of Jack and Jill\, where she is President. She is also an ordained minister and a proud lifelong member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority\, Incorporated. With countless honors—including the 2024 University of Kentucky Lyman T.
