A Powerful Look at Life Beyond Foster Care

The University of Kentucky College of Social Work, in partnership with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services, invites you to a special screening of Their Truth, a documentary highlighting the experiences of youth aging out of foster care. Following the screening, we invite attendees to engage in a live panel discussion with the four youth featured in the film, moderated by the film’s director, Ian Rosser, and the Dean of the College of Social Work, Dr. Jay Miller.

This documentary offers an intimate look at the lives of four young adults aging out of Kentucky’s foster care system. Through their stories, the film highlights resilience, growth, and the critical role of support systems in helping young people build successful futures.
