Elizabeth DuMez

Elizabeth DuMez, a 1962 honors social work graduate, earned her master of social work degree at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She recently retired as manager of the Office of Ethics and Adjudication of the National Association of Social Workers where she had worked since 1985. She also has served as an education program specialist for the Council of Social Work Education in Alexandria, Va., an assistant professor at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., and a social worker for the Washington, D.C., Department of Public Welfare. Early in her career in Lexington, DuMez worked with the Community Recreation Council for the Mentally Retarded and Physically Handicapped, Cardinal Hill Children’s Convalescent Hospital and the Lexington Child Guidance Service.
