Rebecca Meeks

Rebecca Meeks has more than 14 years of experience in higher education. She joined the University of Kentucky in 2020 and currently serves as Director of Admissions for the College of Social Work. In this role, she oversees admissions operations and application processes for the College’s academic programs, ensuring consistency and adherence to admissions best practices.

Meeks completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at Eastern Kentucky University and earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville focusing on mental health for students in higher education. She introduced and coordinated Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training at Bluegrass Community and Technical College staff, equipping staff to recognize individuals who may be experiencing a crisis and connect them with appropriate resources. She is also certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid USA.

Rebecca is committed to streamlining CoSW admissions processes, removing barriers, and enhancing pathways to higher education. In 2023, she received the inaugural Most Outstanding CoSW Staff Member Award as part of the College’s People First, People Always Awards. She was also nominated for the People First, People Always Supervisor of the Year Award in both 2025 and 2026.
