Social Work Professional Program
Application Information
Students interested in entering the professional social work education program must first be admitted to the University of Kentucky as a Social Work major and meet all eligibility requirements, including GPA and prerequisite coursework standards. Applications are reviewed holistically by the College of Social Work and require a personal essay demonstrating your understanding of the profession, your strengths and readiness for practice, and areas for future growth. Admission to the professional program is required before enrolling in upper-level social work courses, so students are encouraged to review requirements and deadlines carefully before applying.
