Event Overview

CORE Teen content is intended to increase the knowledge and skills of those who will be parenting teens with moderate to severe emotional and behavioral needs. The interactive and engaging content includes lecture, videos, activities, and discussion. It provides many opportunities for participants to learn from each other while building their knowledge and skills.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the two major adaptive responses to threats
  2. Describe how fear changes the way youth think, feel and act
  3. Describe three trauma-informed techniques to effectively parent youth, based on their emotional age and developmental state
