Latimer, an assistant professor with the CoSW, studies serious illness communication with older adults, including individuals with heart failure and who are unhoused.

“Women’s Resistance in Global Context” analyzes historical and contemporary examples of women serving as resistance actors across various regions of the world.

Bond’s work centers on understanding and addressing the complex intersections of housing insecurity, behavioral health, and access to care, priorities shaped by her own professional practice and advocacy experience in social work.

Dr. Tia Hollingshead-Styer joins the University of Kentucky College of Social Work from Utah, where she’s been serving her community as an assistant professor, a certified crisis worker, a support to public safety professionals and a subject matter expert for the Bureau of Justice Assistance.

Dr. Deborah “Debbie” Chanan, an experienced K-12 mental health professional and higher education leader, has been appointed as an Instructor at the University of Kentucky College of Social Work.
