Ramla has worked in K-12 education and higher education for over 14 years.  Her experiences include recruitment, career counseling, fundraising, annual giving, event planning and relationship management. Her undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing is from Mars Hill University.  She earned her Master of Science in Educational Counseling from the University of Memphis.  She joins us after serving as the Associate Director for the Center for Personal Development in the Lewis Honors College at UK since 2018. Ramla worked closely with students, employers, and alumni on various programming to support honors students.

Ramla’s credentials include National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors, MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), Strong Interest Inventory and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification credential by the Center for Credentialing and Education.

Ramla is currently serving on the following committees: Steering Committee for the Emerging Leaders with Commerce Lexington, Advisory Committee for Carnegie Literacy Center and Philanthropy Committee, Partners for Youth Grassroots reviewer, and completed the 2023 Leadership Lexington Class. Ramla is a proud mom of two boys, Nas (5 years old) and Noah (20-month-old) who keep her active. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, going to work out classes and traveling.
