Prospective students must first apply to the University of Kentucky, and then during the application process must select the appropriate exploratory or pre-professional social work option.
Once admitted and your advisor recommends pursing the full Social Work major, you will be asked to apply for the Social Work Professional Program.

Admissions Overview
- Must be a declared Social Work major at UK
- Minimum 2.5 GPA on all college coursework
- Completion of required pre-social work courses
$50 application fee required - Submit transcripts and a personal essay (500–750 words)
