Our academic advising team is here to help you explore the social work profession and guide you while you work toward your social work degree. Our advisors are wholeheartedly committed to your success and are available to discuss your academic goals, class schedules, career plans, and more. College of Social Work advising staff are available M-F, from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm on the 6th floor of Patterson Office Tower.
Students may request in-person or virtual appointments directly with their advisor. In-person meetings need to be scheduled in advance to ensure that an appropriate space can be secured which will allow social distancing of at least 6 feet according to CDC guidelines. For in-person meetings, students must wear a UK-approved face covering over the nose and mouth.
Current students can schedule appointments with their advisor in the myUK Graduation Planning System (GPS). To access GPS, log into myUK and go to “Degree Planning and Registration”. Once in myUKGPS, students should see their assigned advisors with a link to make an appointment. Click the “make appointment” button to open the advisor’s calendar and schedule an appointment. In person, online, and phone appointments are available.
