Academic Advising

Our academic advising team is here to guide you while you work toward your social work degree. Our advisors are wholeheartedly committed to your success and are available to discuss your academic goals, class schedules, and more. Please feel free to set up an appointment. Virtual and phone options are available.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, academic advising services will be provided virtually at this time.   Virtual advising will be available through zoom, phone, and e-mail. Academic Advisors are available throughout the day via email and students are encouraged to reach out to their advisor directly with questions or concerns.

As part of the CoSW Re-Start plan for Fall 2020, advisors in the CoSW will provide advising services to students primarily through virtual platforms including phone, e-mail, and Zoom in order to ensure the safest and most convenient advising experience for students.  Students may request in-person appointments directly to their advisor if needed. In-person meetings will need to be scheduled in advance to ensure that an appropriate space can be secured which will allow social distancing of at least 6 feet according to CDC guidelines. For any in-person meetings, students must wear a UK-approved face covering over the nose and mouth.  Zoom is the preferred modality for advising meetings.

Drop-In Advising is available through Zoom the following days/times:

Tuesdays 1pm-2pm(August 18th-November 24th)
