A clinical assistant professor. Dr. Jones received his PhD from Capella University, his MSW from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, and his BS from Ferris State University. He commissioned into the Air Force in 2014 as a Captain and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Prior to commissioning into the Air Force, he was an undergraduate BSW Tenure Assistant Professor of Social Work at Saginaw Valley State University. Since putting on the uniform, Dr. Jones has served in various capacities, ADAPT Program Manager, Family Advocacy Officer, Disaster Mental Health Chief, and most recently, Faculty member at the United Air Force Academy in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership. Dr. Jones has over twenty-years in the social work field and research interests has focused on PTSD, deviant sexual behavior, prison population, Attachment theory, Intimate relationships, trauma bonding, and betrayal trauma.
