Get to Know Jaime

Jaime is the Academic Advising Director with the College of Social Work. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at UK and her Master of Social Work at the University of Louisville. Jaime is licensed in Kentucky as a Certified Social Worker. She started her career working in child protective services with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services. She then transitioned into medical social work where she worked at UC Hospital, Cardinal Hill, and UK Hospital before joining the College of Social Work in 2016.

Jaime enjoys working with social work students because they are eager to improve the quality of life for individuals in their communities and fight for social change. She believes it is a privilege to be a part of their academic journey and watch them grow into social workers ready to enter the field. Jaime also loves being a part of the College of Social Work team and supporting the college’s mission.

Jaime is married and has two children. Her family enjoys spending time outdoors kayaking, camping, and hiking. Jaime has a travel trailer and spends her free time exploring Kentucky and the US. Traveling and planning her next adventure is Jaime’s favorite hobby.
