Kinship Live Virtual Webinar Training – Navigating Tough Conversations with Kids

July 23 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

Navigating tough conversations with kids

Raising children and teens in today’s society can be challenging-raising kinship children to navigate these challenges successfully can be even more challenging. As kinship caregivers we hope to prepare our children for all the difficult choices and situations they may face as they grow up in an ever-changing society and culture; however, navigating these conversations can be difficult when you are raising someone else’s child-even if that child is your grandchild, niece, nephew, cousin, sibling, or a fictive kin child.

In this webinar, we will explore how to best navigate these tough conversations by learning how caregivers can build trusting relationships with the children in their care-through open dialogue and mutual understanding. We will discuss ways to build trust and communicate effectively, so that you can successfully navigate these tough conversations with your kids.
