KIN-VIP is a cutting-edge programmatic initiative designed to improve service delivery, support, and foster collective community to Kentucky’s kinship providers. The program is being offered via a collaborative partnership involving the Kentucky Kinship Resource Center (KKRC) at the University of Kentucky (UK), Kentucky Youth Advocates, the Kentucky Kinship Coalition, and the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS).

Phase I of the KIN-VIP is ready to launch! This phase includes support to virtual kinship support groups. The expectation is that these virtual support groups meet (virtually) one time per week, for 12 weeks.

Right now we are looking for facilitators for the virtual support groups. Facilitators will receive a stipend of $1,200 upon the completion of the 12 week period. Ideally, facilitators would have some lived experience as relative or fictive-kin caregiver OR experience facilitating support groups for relative or fictive-kin caregivers. The UK Training Resource Center will provide facilitation support and additional resources needed to support facilitators.
