University of Kentucky’s College of Social Work Kicks Off 50th Anniversary Celebration of BASW Accreditation

Today’s event, held from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the King Alumni House and virtually via Zoom, welcomes faculty, staff, students, alumni, and virtual attendees.

LEXINGTON, KY – November 15, 2024 – The University of Kentucky College of Social Work (CoSW) is thrilled to kick off a series of celebratory events today, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) program’s accreditation. This milestone reflects five decades of dedication to excellence in social work education and the significant impact of our alumni, faculty, and students on communities across Kentucky and beyond.

Today’s event, held from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the King Alumni House and virtually via Zoom, welcomes faculty, staff, students, alumni, and virtual attendees. The event will include an interactive networking reception, a program presentation available both in-person and online, and engaging activities. Food and refreshments will be provided, and attendees will have the chance to participate in a raffle drawing.

The celebration marks the first of many events in honor of the BASW program’s 50th anniversary.
