Bio

Stephanie is a clinical instructor at the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Social Work and is currently pursuing a PhD in social work. In her current faculty role, Stephanie serves as the Assistant Director of Social Work Field Education, and she is the Director of the Graduate Certificate in Child Welfare Practice. She was also the Co-PI and director of the Credit for Learning (CFL) program, a Federal Title IV-E Child Welfare Program. Stephanie has experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of mental health assessment, co-occurring disorders, policy, child welfare, and field education. She has more than 18 years of rural and urban-based practice experience in the areas of intimate partner violence, substance abuse, mental health, child welfare, and implementing coordinated community-based mental health and substance use assessment services across Kentucky. Additionally, she serves as a substance use and mental health content consultant and trainer for the Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the state coalition of domestic violence shelters.
