Don Rooks is an active-duty U.S. Army officer and Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work. He last served as the Behavioral Health Officer for 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He was mobilized in 2021 for Operation Allies Refuge resulting in the emergency evacuation of 120,000 Afghanistan Refugees. He maintains practice experience in: psychotherapy across presentations, occupational social work, suicide prevention, traumatic event management, substance use disorder clinical care, family/spousal abuse and neglect, veteran care, and intensive outpatient treatment. He is an active member of the International Military Social Work Consortium (IMilSWC).
