To celebrate the spirit of National Social Work Month, the College of Social Work Pop-Up Shop will be launched once again!
The shop will be accessible March 13 through March 27, offering unique College of Social Work-specific apparel.
During March, the College of Social Work provides one free online continuing education course to its alumni* through the Wildcat Network’s private group.

The College of Social Work, via the Office of Professional Development and Continuing Education, is pleased to offer one free online continuing education (CE) course* per alumnus during the month of March. This offer is available only to alumni members of the College of Social Work’s private group on Wildcat Network.

During March, the CoSW celebrated the extensive reach of social work across various societal dimensions with the launch of its campaign, “Social Work is Everywhere.”
Gilpin recently earned her National Certified School Social Worker certification. So far, she’s the only person in Kentucky to achieve this and one of 30 in the entire country.
CoSW is seeking to raise awareness that social workers help millions of people each day and work in a variety of settings, including many people may not be aware of such as sports and financial planning.
Dean Miller also had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch prior to the game, throwing a strike to the Wildcat catcher.
The Social Work Alumni Association (SWAA) provided alumni a number of complimentary tickets, with 32 CoSW alumni coming together to watch a Wildcat victory as UK defeated Vanderbilt, 93-77.
